Police hunt for people behind two nursery break-ins in Aboyne

The hunt is on for the people responsible for two break-ins at a nursery in Aboyne.

They took place over the weekends of June 28-30 and July 5-7

The building on Bridgeview Road suffered "significant damage".

Police say they're aware of a group of young people spotted in the area prior to the second break-in.

PC Iona Johnson, of the Deeside Local Policing Team, said: “The antisocial behaviour of those responsible is unacceptable and they should be ashamed of themselves.

“Their actions have had a serious impact on the staff having to carry out extensive clean-up and repair work throughout the building.

“We are aware that a group of young people was seen in the area prior to the second break-in and are asking anyone with information, or who witnessed any suspicious activity, to please come forward.

“Anyone with information should contact police on 101, quoting incident 3318 of 8 July, 2024. Alternatively, you can call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111, if you wish to remain anonymous.”
